Plasters and renders

Rendering and plastering mortars are a mix of one or more binders, aggregates, water and sometimes admixtures and/or additions, used as external renders or internal plasters. There are two principal groups of products: dry-mixed rendering and plastering mortars mostly based on mineral binders, as well as ready-to-use rendering and plastering mortars (also known as pasty rendering and plastering mortars) are mostly based on organic binders.

Rendered facades are important elements of architectural design. Where applied, renders do not only contribute to the aesthetic aspects of the building, but also ensure the necessary weather protection for the building.

Mortar manufacturers offer plasters for indoors and outdoors in many different variants, which architects, planners, skilled tradesmen and building owners can choose from. It is important that the plaster is optimally matched to the respective substrate. This should already be taken into account during the planning and tendering process.

Internal plasters are used to level surfaces e. g. for subsequent wall coverings (e. g. wall tiles) and are often used as a design element. Due to their large surface area, the plastered walls and ceilings also have a significantly influence the indoor climate.

Rendering and plastering mortars are therefore a decisive factor for the longevity and value retention of buildings as wells for safe and healthy living.

There is a various number of plasters.
